I have always been drawn to aesthetics, whether through art or the beauty industry. From a young age, I developed a passion for both visual art and cosmetics—interests I would ultimately pursue professionally.
In 2014, I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Columbia College Chicago while simultaneously beginning my career as a licensed cosmetologist. Over time, my path evolved into leadership roles within the beauty industry, where I gained a deeper understanding of aesthetics, presentation, and the ways visual culture shapes identity and perception.
These experiences continue to inform my creative practice, bridging fine art, design, and the study of how individuals express themselves through image, object, and experience.
Through observational drawing and portraiture, I investigate form, light, and anatomy, while my graphic work reduces those same subjects into simplified shapes, line, and contrast. Together, these approaches explore the tension between realism and abstraction.Today, my work continues to move between traditional and contemporary processes, including graphite, charcoal, color pencils, printmaking, and digital illustration. Across mediums, I remain interested in the human figure as a site of transformation where observation, memory, beauty, and distortion intersect.
