I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Columbia College Chicago in 2014 and began my professional career as a licensed cosmetologist before transitioning into leadership roles within the beauty industry. Working in cosmetics deepened my understanding of aesthetics, presentation, and the ways visual culture shapes identity and perception.
Through observational drawing and portraiture, I investigate form, light, and anatomy, while my graphic work reduces those same subjects into simplified shapes, line, and contrast. Together, these approaches explore the tension between realism and abstraction.Today, my work continues to move between traditional and contemporary processes, including graphite, charcoal, color pencils, printmaking, and digital illustration. Across mediums, I remain interested in the human figure as a site of transformation—where observation, memory, beauty, and distortion intersect.
